The Weeknd (conceived Abel Tesfaye, in Scarborough, Ontario, on February 16, 1990) is an is a Canadian chronicle craftsman and record maker. He says he embraced the stage name, “The Weeknd,” subsequent to dropping out of secondary school and “left one end of the week and never got back home.” Abel secretly transferred a few melodies to YouTube in 2010 and after that in 2011 he discharged three nine-track mixtapes: “Place of Balloons,” “Thursday,” and “Echoes of Silence,” which were widely praised. MTV’s John Norris has called him the “warbler of his age” and the “best melodic ability since Michael Jackson”. In December 2014, he discharged “Earned It”, the melody was discharged as a solitary from the 2015 film Fifty Shades of Gray.
