John Clarke (conceived July 29, 1948 in Palmerston North, New Zealand) was a humorist, author and comedian. He rose to notoriety amid the mid-late ’70s when he depicted a rancher called Fred Dagg in front of an audience, film and TV. Fred Dagg turned into John’s go-to character and he depicted him in various books, records and tapes. John likewise acted in various movies including Never Say Die. Alongside teammate Bryan Dawe, John led week by week ironical meetings with Bryan going about as a mainstream figure who tries to abstain from noting the inquiries.
