Things got warmed between Russell Westbrook and a fan at the Thunder/Jazz diversion on March 11, and they both had very unique stories to tell about what truly happened thereafter.
A video of Russell Westbrook hollering at a fan amid Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz amusement on March 11 has circulated around the web. In the video, Russell can be heard compromising a male in the group. “I’ll f*** you up,” he says. “You AND your better half!” The start of the verbal quarrel was not gotten on camera, so it was not quickly clear what begun the war of words. In any case, after the amusement, Russell, asserted that the man instructed him to “Get down on your knees like no doubt about it.” He found the remark “insolent,” and considered in “racial,” which is the reason he went off.
“I believe it’s simply wrong,” he disclosed to journalists after the diversion. “There’s no assurance for the players. I think there are a ton of incredible fans the world over that like to go to the diversion and appreciate the amusement, however there are individuals that gone to the amusement to state mean, ill bred things about me and my family. For a long time, I’ve done all the correct things. I’ve never effectively harmed or hurt anyone. I’ve never been in a bad position, never battled a fan. I’ve been in the class 11 years — fresh start, humble. I take all the analysis from everyone. For me, lack of regard won’t be taken. Particularly in Utah, when I come here, a great deal of discourteous things are said.”
Shane Keisel was the fan who got into the shouting match with Russell, and he had a vastly different story to tell about what went down. Shane says that the remark he really made to Russell was in reference to the warming cushions he was wearing around his legs, which Shane thought were ice packs.”I resembled… simply take a seat and ice your knees, brother!” Shane uncovered. “He swung to me and he resembled — that is heat, that is heat! So I’m similar to… well, you’re going to require it. What’s more, it turned NSFW.”
Shane demanded that he NEVER said a swear word to Russell, and he clarified what his main problem with Russell was. “He can undermine me all he needs,” Shane said. “I was the one conversing with him. However, don’t compromise [my wife]. She’s five feet tall and 110 pounds. She never let out the slightest peep to him.”
