Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell have gone through a ton of good and bad times since meeting on The Bachelor in the fall of 2020. He affirmed the relationship status during a meeting on The Pomp Podcast, where he clarified that it took Rachael giving him an “final proposal” for him to understand that he needed to completely focus on being with her.
The final offer came after Matt and Rachael’s first post-Bachelor gathering toward the beginning of April. The two were beginning to hang out again following their underlying Feb. 2020 split, which happened in light of the fact that photographs had circulated around the web of Rachael going to a bigot prewar themed party in 2018.
