‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’ Reunion Trailer: Will Smith Recalls Wanting To Make James Avery Proud & More

The Banks are back! Will Smith shared the official trailer for ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ gathering on Nov. 13, alongside its HBO Max delivery date!

This is a story about how The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air cast got back to the acclaimed lounge! On Friday, Will Smith shared the primary gander at the 30-year cast get-together, which starts gushing on HBO Max on November 19. The whole cast — Alfonso Ribeiro (who played Carlton Banks), Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey Butler), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Vivian Banks), and DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz) — got together for the gathering exceptional, including the first Aunt Vivian, entertainer Janet Hubert. Hubert shows up toward the finish of the trailer amazingly, since she has freely communicated her hatred for Will because of her being supplanted on the NBC sitcom. The two have since finished their fight.

“These are the individuals who made me the man I am today,” Will composed close by the trailer in a post on Instagram on Friday, November 13. “Furthermore, I was unable to release this day by without denoting the event.”

In the almost 2-minute trailer, the cast thinks back on their family-like bond and reviews the unique connection among Will and Alfonso, both on and off screen. They go onto share more stories and at no other time heard tid-bits, for example, the way that Will looked for legitimacy on-screen from the late James Avery, who played the family patriarch, Uncle Philip Banks. The cast was brought to tears while recollecting the entertainer who passed on in 2014 at 68 years old.

“James is the core of the show,” Tatiana says in the trailer, to which Will adds, “James Avery was this 6’4″ Shakespearean monster and I needed him to think I was acceptable.” At one point, Alfonso says, “There will consistently be a bit of us in that front room.”

The gathering trailer comes almost two months to the date that Fresh Prince appeared. The show originally arose on NBC on September 10, 1990. On that date in 2020, Will reported that the cast was concocting something fun with HBO Max. He shared a selfie with his Fresh Prince co-stars in the celebrated lounge room of the Banks’ Bel-Air home.

Notwithstanding the foreseen Fresh Prince gathering, a dramatization reboot of the hit ’90s parody is underway at Peacock. The new pursuit, which depends on a 2019 viral video, is leader created by Will.

Alfonso recently conceded that the impending show reboot will be “odd” for him to watch. Why? — “Clearly, I’m a parody fellow, right?,” he said on the TheMagazineCity Podcast in late October. “I love that the show made individuals snicker, yet it unquestionably had sensational minutes and significant, impactful conversations.
